Term Life

Term Life Insurance

Term life insurance provides coverage for a set number of years, such as 10, 20, or 30. It is commonly used to cover working years, a mortgage, or the years while children are at home.

  • Set coverage period

Typically 10 to 30 years, chosen to match a specific need.

  • Level premiums during the term

Most level term policies keep the premium the same for the term.

  • Conversion may be available

Some policies allow conversion to permanent coverage per contract terms.

How term coverage works

You choose a coverage amount and a term length. If a covered death occurs during the term, the death benefit is paid to your beneficiary. If the term ends while you are living, coverage ends unless the policy is renewed or converted according to its terms.

Many term policies include a conversion privilege that allows a change to permanent coverage without new underwriting, within the limits stated in the contract.

Life insurance eligibility and pricing can change as age and health change. Comparing available options today can help you understand where you currently stand.
